Springfield Grassroots Project

Wednesday, September 24, 2008. This past week, a local group is recycling donated bicycles for community use in a community-run effort to cut down on traffic, pollution, poverty, and crime. The idea is that anyone who wants to can take a bicycle and ride it to where they need to go. Monday, October 27, 2008. We stayed up two straight nights watching out the window in case the thief came back for more. The neighborhoods in the pre. Dawn chill, peeking into garages and over fences trying to find our bikes. We also contacted all of our friends, talked to local bike shops, and called every pawn shop in town with descriptions.
